Dragon's Blood (Croton lechleri) is one of the Amazon's most distinctive sacred resins — a deep, wine-red sap harvested from the Sangre de Drago tree, native to the upper Amazon basin of Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. The name is literal: when the bark is cut, thick crimson resin bleeds out immediately, long understood by Amazonian peoples as the blood of the forest itself.
Our dragon's blood is raw resin from Peru, ethically harvested from mature Croton lechleri trees using a tap-and-heal method that preserves the tree. Each batch is unprocessed and highly concentrated — a small amount goes a long way. In Amazonian medicine, dragon's blood is used as a wound healer, skin protector, and ceremonial plant; it is also burned as resin incense for protection and energetic clearing.
