How do I choose between Soft, Medium, and Strong Hapé blends?

  • Soft / Gentle (Welcome Tier): Formulated with lighter Mapacho and floral botanicals (e.g., Rosas Brancas). Ideal for beginners, daily morning grounding, sensitive individuals, or gentle integration.
  • Medium (Working Tier): Balanced Mapacho concentration paired with classic tree ashes (e.g., Yawanawa Tsunu). Perfect for regular meditation and ongoing spiritual practice.

What is the difference between a Kuripe and a Tepi pipe?

Kuripe: A V-shaped pipe designed specifically for self-application. It connects your mouth to one nostril so you can blow the medicine into yourself.

Tepi: A longer, single-angle pipe designed for partner application, where a practitioner or facilitator blows the medicine into another person’s nostril.

What does "purging" mean during a Hapé session, and is it normal?

Purging is a natural aspect of Amazonian plant medicine work. It can manifest physically (as sinus release, watery eyes, sweating, or nausea) or emotionally (as crying or laughing). It is considered a beneficial clearing of stagnant physical toxins and emotional blockages. While gentler blends rarely cause nausea, stronger blends frequently invite purging.
